
Mark Pfeiffer serves as the Regional Manager for North Texas, supporting branches locally in DFW (and few others in neighboring states). Based in Dallas, Texas, Mark continues to produce at a high level while managing regional leadership duties. In 2024, his team closed nearly 200 units for $80 million in production.
Mark entered the mortgage business in 2003 after graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in electrical engineering. Early in his career, he spent time on the wholesale side, learning loan guidelines in detail before transitioning to retail origination. Over time, he returned to the Dallas area—where he grew up in Grapevine—and built a career rooted in long-term client relationships and referral partnerships.
Leadership Philosophy: The Sherpa Model
Mark describes his leadership approach using what he calls the Sherpa model—a leadership style defined by walking the path with the team, carrying weight, and providing real-world support. His team operates within the same trenches as those they lead.
He distinguishes between three styles of leadership:
- Coaches: Help set goals and hold others accountable.
- Mentors: Offer wisdom based on experience.
- Sherpas: Walk alongside, assess capabilities, and guide by example.
As a producing leader, Mark embodies this third model—helping Loan Officers grow both their production and their leadership capacity without sacrificing quality of life.
